BBC Radio 1 are set to end their south coast hiatus following the announcement of their Live In Torbay festival this month.

May 19 will see the arrival of a host of Radio 1 and Radio 1xtra favourites including Fearne Cotton, Chris Moyles, and Zane Lowe. The event, broadcasted live from Paignton – Torbay, will also welcome sets from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Mistajam and Danny Howard.

If that isn’t enough for you there are also live performances from Example, Jaguar Skills and Eric Prydz.

8,000 tickets have been allocated to the one-day festival running from 4pm-11pm, which will be primarily made available for residents of Torbay and the surrounding areas.

Event director, Jason Carter, said: “ Radio 1 are very excited to finally be returning to the south coast. We have a great summer of events for this really special Olympic year for the UK and are delighted to be launching our summer in Torbay with such a great DJ line up.”

Anyone interested in getting their hands on a ticket should tune in to BBC Radio 1, May 4.  Keep an eye on us here at Flex if you are unfortunate enough to miss out on a ticket, as we will be sure to fill you in on all that went down.
